Overview
This service is provided to specific customers based on contractual needs. The test is conducted by remotely running iPerf from the egress point to a designated server. The tests are run on a schedule to prevent business operations from being impacted.
About
"iperf, Iperf, or iPerf, is a tool for network performance measurement and tuning. It is a cross-platform tool that can produce standardized performance measurements for any network. iperf has client and server functionality and can create data streams to measure the throughput between the two ends in one or both directions. Typical iperf output contains a time-stamped report of the amount of data transferred and the throughput measured. "

Menu Options
Site
The site selection menu. This only shows sites that have been added to the nightly iPerf.
FortiGate
For sites with multiple FortiGates, this menu allows the selection of the individual firewalls.
Time Interval
This is a date selection tool.
How to Interpret Results
This bar chart provides a visual representation of the daily iPerf results over a specified period of time. iPerf is a commonly used network testing tool measuring maximum TCP and UDP bandwidth performance. By plotting these results daily, we can observe trends, fluctuations, and potential anomalies in the network's bandwidth performance.
Chart Structure:
X-Axis: Represents each day within the specified time period. The dates are arranged chronologically from left to right, allowing viewers to track progress or changes over time.
Y-Axis: Denotes the bandwidth performance, measured in Mb/s. Higher bars indicate better performance or higher bandwidth achieved on that particular day.
Bars: Each bar corresponds to the iPerf result for a specific day. The height of the bar represents the bandwidth performance for that day.
Color-Coding: Different colors or patterns are assigned to each combination to differentiate between devices and VLANs.
The drop-down menus allow you to select the site, device, and the time interval.
Download CSV
The individual iPerf tests are stored within the ENA portal; this option allows you to download the result for the currently selected site, device, and time interval.
